A shocking stabbing at Keysborough Secondary College in Melbourne’s south-east sparked a chaotic lockdown after the principal was reportedly attacked by a staff member. Police arrested the suspect on the spot as emergency crews rushed in.
Principal Injured and Rushed to Hospital
Just after 3pm on Tuesday, authorities were called to the Acacia campus following reports of a stabbing. The male principal was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. A male staff member was immediately detained and is now being questioned, though no charges have been filed yet.
School Lockdown Throws Students into Panic
The lockdown was enforced shortly after the final bell, sending students into panic. Pupils said teachers instructed them to hide silently under tables for about 20 minutes. One student said: “It felt scary … I’m shocked.”
Some students who left just before the lockdown reported seeing a man carrying a knife on campus.
Emergency Services Swing into Action
