Double Stab Deaths Spark Murder Probe in Lambeth
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command South have launched a murder investigation after a man and woman were found fatally stabbed in Lambeth.
Police rushed to Dorset Road, SW8, just after 4pm on Wednesday, 1 April, responding to welfare concerns for a man.
Tragic Scene Inside Dorset Road Home
Officers and London Ambulance Service discovered a 44-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds inside the property. Despite desperate attempts to save them, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Six Held as Police Probe Gruesome Double Killing
Six suspects have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody as police hunt for the victims’ next of kin.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard, leading the inquiry, said: “I understand that this is an extremely shocking incident for the residents of this area and the wider community. The investigation is at a very early stage but my team and I are working hard to establish the full circumstances that led up to this tragic incident.”
