Police launch fresh probe after woman found dead inside Swindon home
Tragic death rocks Swindon neighbourhood
At around 7pm on 21 November, officers rushed to a disturbance at a house on Baydon Close, Moredon, Swindon. Inside, they found a woman in her 50s unresponsive. Paramedics battled to save her, but tragically she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. No other injuries were reported.
Teenager arrested as police hunt for answers
A police cordon is tightly held around the property while detectives investigate the shocking death. A teenage girl has been arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Officers say they are not seeking anyone else at this stage.
Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose, Major Crime Investigation Team, said:
“This is a serious incident in which a woman has sadly died. We have set up a cordon at the address while an investigation is carried out. This is likely to remain in place overnight and throughout tomorrow.
I can confirm that we have arrested a teenage girl in connection with this incident and we are not looking for anyone else. We would encourage people not to speculate on the circumstances around this incident.
