Anti-Terror Blitz Hits Brighton Linked to Westminster Attack
Police stormed a Brighton property this morning in a fierce anti-terror raid linked to yesterday’s Westminster attack. The Met’s Counter Terrorism Command is hunting suspects after the March 22 assault, with at least seven arrests and multiple searches across London, Birmingham, Brighton, and Wales.
Raid in Brighton Yields No Arrests
Despite armed officers swooping on the Brighton address, no arrests were made there. The Met confirmed they had wrapped up searches in Brighton and south-east London but are still combing through other locations.
Eight Arrests Made in London and Birmingham
A police spokesperson said: “Detectives are continuing to search a number of addresses linked to the investigation: One in Carmarthenshire; three in Birmingham; one in east London. Searches at addresses in Brighton and south east London have concluded.” So far, eight people have been arrested at properties in London and Birmingham.
Fast-Paced Manhunt Underway
The same spokesperson added: “The investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command into the terrorist attack on Wednesday continues to develop at a fast pace and involves hundreds of detectives.”
