Yolanda, 53, Stabbed to Death in Shocking London Attack

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Sunday, 23 October, when Yolanda, 53, was found fatally stabbed. Another 30-year-old woman was also attacked in the same incident and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Murder Probe Launched as Police Hunt Suspect

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a murder investigation. Working alongside the North East Command Unit, detectives quickly zeroed in on a suspect known to both victims. On 26 October, police named 38-year-old Miguel Angel Alvarez Florentino as the man wanted in connection with the stabbings.

Suspected Killer Found Dead in River

In a dramatic turn, officers searching near Blaker Road, E15, discovered a man’s body in a river at around 7:30pm on Friday, 28 October. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the death is unexpected but not suspicious.

While formal ID is pending, police are confident the body is that of Miguel Angel Alvarez Florentino. His next of kin have been informed.
