Tragedy Strikes at Isle of Man TT: Father and Son Duo Lose Lives Racing Sidecar
Heartbreak on the TT Course
Roger and Bradley, a devoted father and son team, were more than family—they were driver and passenger at the iconic Isle of Man TT. Their passing has sent shockwaves through the racing community. The Isle of Man TT organisers have expressed their deepest condolences to the families, friends, and fans mourning their loss.
Racing Dreams Cut Short
- Roger, 56, a seasoned competitor, was marking his 20th race start in his 11th TT appearance.
- Bradley, 21, a rising star, was only taking part in his second race and first TT event.
- Together, they impressively secured 8th place in the first Sidecar Race of TT 2022, clocking a best lap speed of 106.00 mph.
A Family Legacy on Two Wheels
Bradley wasn’t new to the TT paddock—he grew up watching the races and first visited as a toddler. At just 16, he knew he wanted to follow in Roger’s tyre tracks as his sidecar passenger.
“It will be incredible to go around the course with my own flesh and blood,” Roger said earlier this year, reflecting on his love for the sport.
Roger began racing at the TT in 2000, competing regularly until 2008 before making comebacks in 2010, 2017, and 2022. He admitted he had retired several times but always returned for his passion.
Two Lives, One Unbreakable Bond
The loss of these two racers from the same family cuts deep into the TT paddock. But their story—a father and son living their dream side by side—offers a poignant glimmer of hope amid the sorrow.
