Mercedes Crashes into Bexley Home in Shocking Late-Night Smash
A terrifying crash caught on camera shows a Mercedes flying off the road and smashing into a Bexley front garden just before 8.40pm last Saturday.
Car Launches Off Driveway, Wrecks Parked Vehicle
The dramatic footage, captured by a doorbell cam on Hurst Road, shows the Mercedes lifting off the ground as it barrels into a parked car. The collision sends the parked vehicle sideways and hurls debris everywhere.
Garden Walls and Telegraph Pole Smashed
The impact also damaged a telegraph pole and the garden walls of two nearby houses, police confirmed. Inside one of the homes, Karen Hearn and her child were lucky to escape harm.
“It was a massive shock when we heard a loud bang outside,” said the 35-year-old. “When the car hit the garden wall, bricks flew onto the house, smashing the nursery window of my unborn child.”
“Fortunately, my child was in my bedroom at the time. I had no idea what would have happened if anyone had been in the nursery room.”
Neighbours Demand Action on Dangerous Road
Duncan, 61, who lives next door, slammed reckless drivers on the busy street.
“We ran outside when we heard the bang. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Cars are constantly speeding here, and with a school nearby, it’s a nightmare waiting to happen.”
“Something needs to be done — and fast.”
Casualties Treated, Road Cordon in Place
Emergency crews quickly sealed off the road while treating two individuals at the scene. Both were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
The car remains perched on the smashed garden wall with debris littering the street — a shocking reminder of the dangers on Hurst Road.
