ITV Greenlights Third Season of Hit Crime Drama “The Tower”
ITV has officially given the thumbs-up for season three of the gripping crime thriller The Tower. The new series, named The Tower 3: Gallowstree Lane, has already started filming, promising fans another intense ride.
Star-Studded Cast and Top Talent Return
The hit show continues to follow leads Gemma Whelan, Tahirah Sharif, Jimmy Akingbola, and Emmett J Scanlan. The brilliant Patrick Harbinson, famed for Homeland and 24, returns to adapt Kate London’s third novel for TV. Fans can expect even more explosive crime drama and deep character arcs as Portland Tower’s story unfolds.
Backed by ITV Bosses and Big Production Names
Early commissioning highlights ITV and Head of Drama Polly Hill’s huge faith in the series. Harbinson is excited to explore a gritty new storyline involving gangs and drugs, spotlighting Akingbola and Scanlan’s characters. Meanwhile, Sharif and Whelan will bring the emotion and heart game on full blast.
The four-part thriller is produced by Windhover Films (Harbinson’s outfit) and Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios. Executive producers include Harbinson, Damien Timmer, and Charlotte Webber. Rene van Pannevis directs, with Charles Bates producing.
