Tragic Daylight Shooting Claims Life of 22-Year-Old in N7
Police have named the victim of a fatal shooting in Islington as 22-year-old Imani Allaway-Muir. The horrifying incident unfolded at 3.20pm on Saturday, 4 July, on Roman Way, N7, after reports of gunfire.
Imani Dies at Scene Despite Emergency Response
Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. They found Imani with serious gunshot wounds. Despite their desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John of Specialist Crime described the attack as “shocking” and said it unfolded in broad daylight. “We believe many people in and around Roman Way heard the shots,” he said. “We urge anyone with information or video footage to come forward.”
DCI John added:
“The family of this young man have been left devastated by his death. Our detectives are working relentlessly to find and arrest those responsible.”
Section 60 Order Enforced Across Islington and Camden
A Section 60 order – allowing stop and search powers without suspicion – has been put in place from 14:02 on 5 July until 04:00 on 6 July covering the whole of Islington and Camden.
