Brutal Nighttime Attack Outside Witney Pub Sparks Police Appeal

A man was viciously punched outside the Angel Inn near the Buttercross in Witney town centre at around 1.20am on Saturday, 13 September.

After being relentlessly punched to the face, the victim was followed across the road and attacked again in a shocking late-night assault.

Police Hunt Victim and Witnesses

“We want to talk to anyone with information about this incident,” said PC Liam Dunkley from Witney police station. “The victim has not come forward and we urge them to get in touch.”

Two Young Men Arrested But Released

Officers arrested two men from Eynsham, aged 19 and 20, on suspicion of affray. Both have now been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
