Police were called to the area at around 11.40pm after reports of a stabbing. Officers gave first aid while waiting for paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Despite their desperate efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
Suspect in Custody as Police Hunt Witnesses
The Metropolitan Police confirmed a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is now in custody. The boy’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
