Two Teens Arrested Over Man’s Death at Lullingstone Castle
Two youths have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died on the grounds of Lullingstone Castle in Eynsford.
18-Year-Old and 17-Year-Old in Custody
Police swooped at 6.35am on Thursday, 25 June 2020, detaining an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy at a property in Layhams Road, Keston. Both suspects remain in police custody as the investigation heats up.
Victim Suffered Heart Attack After Disturbance
The victim, 66-year-old Charlie Hilder, suffered a fatal heart attack following a disturbance on the castle grounds on 28 May 2020.
Detective Chief Inspector Ivan Beasley said: “We are continuing to gather information to establish the full circumstances leading up to Mr Hilder’s death. Thanks to those who have already come forward. It’s vital anyone who was at Lullingstone Castle around this time gets in touch.
