Two Teens Arrested Over Chingford Teen Murder
Detectives have swooped, arresting two boys over the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old in Chingford. The suspects, aged just 16 and 15, were picked up at their homes early this morning by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Swift Police Response After Stabbing
On Monday night, police were called at 9:21pm to Longshaw Road, E4, following reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived within three minutes, joined by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
They found the victim with a fatal stab wound. Despite rapid first aid from passers-by and emergency services, the teenager tragically died at the scene.
Investigation Ongoing, Public Appeal Made
The victim’s family have been informed and are receiving support from family liaison officers. A post-mortem and formal ID will follow.
Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith: “We moved quickly to make two arrests today, but our hunt continues. Anyone with information, no matter how small, must come forward. We want justice for this grieving family.”
