Kent Fire and Rescue scrambled to a nasty two-car smash near Cliffe Woods, Rochester, on Monday evening. The crash, which happened around 6:35pm on November 6, saw two men trapped inside their wrecked vehicles.
Jaws of Life Needed to Free Trapped Drivers
Firefighters arrived with two engines loaded with heavy-duty rescue gear. They used hydraulic spreaders, rams, cutting tools, and the iconic “Jaws of Life” to pry the men free. Thermal imaging cameras, axes, crowbars, and a Haligan bar were also deployed in the intense rescue mission.
Emergency Crews Rush to Aid Injured Men
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) was quick on the scene to treat the casualties. While the extent of their injuries remains under wraps, both men received urgent medical care before being handed over to Kent Police.
