Two elderly pedestrians, aged 76 and 77, were tragically mown down in Aldershot at around 6.30am today. The pair were hit by a blue Skoda Fabia while walking along Fleet Road and died instantly at the scene.

Driver Busted for Suspected Drink or Drug Driving

Police swooped on a 66-year-old man from Wokingham, arresting him on suspicion of drink or drug driving and causing death by careless driving. Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the man remains in custody as an urgent probe gets underway.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“We are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following this fatal collision in Aldershot,” said a police spokesperson. “Anyone with relevant information or footage, please get in touch. We need to piece together exactly what happened in the moments before the tragedy.”
