Shortly after 8pm on Sunday, May 12, officers were called to reports of shoplifting. Upon arrival, emergency medics found two injured individuals needing urgent care.

London Ambulance Service confirmed they dispatched two ambulance crews and paramedics in fast-response cars. Both victims were treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. Their current conditions remain unknown.
“We were called at 8:11 pm yesterday to reports of an assault in Croydon Road, Penge. We treated two patients on site and transported them to the hospital,” said a LAS spokesperson.
Woman Arrested Over GBH and Theft
A woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and shoplifting in connection with the attack. The supermarket’s name has not been released as police continue their investigation.
