Abdul Jalloh, 23, was fatally stabbed just after 4pm on Monday, 5 August at New Union Close, E14.
Two Teenagers Arrested Over Murder
On Thursday, 8 August, detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command arrested two 18-year-old men on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody as the investigation continues.
Police Vow to Keep Pressure on Community
Chief Superintendent Brigid Beehag-Fisher, leading policing in Tower Hamlets and Hackney, said: “Even though two arrests have been made, I do not underestimate the impact this has had on residents and the local community. We will continue to provide an enhanced policing presence over the coming days.”

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command added: “Thank you to those who have spoken to officers. We still want to hear from anyone who was in the area of New Union Close at the time or anyone with information about this murder who hasn’t yet come forward. Teen Released Under Investigation
A 16-year-old male, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released under investigation.
