Two Seriously Injured in Horror Crash at Notorious Cemetery Road Bend
Two people have suffered potentially serious injuries after a smash-up at the dangerous bend where Cemetery Road meets Park Road. Locals say the spot has a nasty history of crashes.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
The West Midlands Ambulance Service were called at about 2.35pm and scrambled two ambulances to the scene. Paramedics treated both victims on site before rushing them to hospital for urgent care. Their current condition remains unknown.
“We responded to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Cemetery Road and Park Road. Two ambulances were sent. Two patients with potentially serious injuries were treated and taken to hospital,” said a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Crash Cause Unknown, Safety Concerns Mount
Police are still investigating the exact cause and how many vehicles were involved. Meanwhile, locals are calling for better traffic calming measures and clearer signage at the bend to prevent more crashes.
Motorists were warned to avoid the area while emergency teams dealt with the incident. No official police statement has been released yet.
