Teens robbed at knifepoint in City Centre park – Police hunt witnesses!

Brazen robbery in broad daylight

Police are hunting witnesses after two boys, aged 13 and 14, were targeted by a pair of older teens in Houndwell Park on Saturday afternoon, 3 December. The victims were just inside the park near Vincents Walk at around 3:30pm when they were approached by two unknown males.

Cash stolen, gun feared

The older teens spoke to the lads before searching them and stealing a sum of cash. Alarmingly, one of the suspects flashed what appeared to be the handle of a gun tucked into his waistband. The pair then fled the scene.

Police release suspect descriptions

  • Male 1: Black, 16-18 years old, about 6ft tall, slim build. Hair wrapped in a bun under a black turban, big nose, some stubble. Wearing a black hoodie and dark trousers. Spoke with a local accent.
  • Male 2: 16-18 years old, 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall, medium build. Brown short hair, brown eyes, no facial hair. Wearing either a black hoodie and dark trousers or a black puffer coat with hood up. Spoke with a local accent.
