Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“This was a violent incident involving a large group of people in The Circle during daylight,” said Det Insp Matt Smith. “We believe witnesses — and even drivers passing by who might have dashcam footage — could hold crucial info.”

“We’re asking anyone around The Circle, Linden Avenue, or Beech Avenue between 5.30pm and 7pm last night to get in touch. Five arrests are reassuring, but our work isn’t done.”

“Violence like this frightens local law-abiding residents. It’s caused by a small minority eager to cause harm. We’re committed to rooting them out and working with partners to deal with them swiftly.”

“Residents can expect a stronger police presence while investigations continue.”
