Knife Attacks on Women in Bow Spark Urgent Police Hunt
Police are scrambling to crack two linked stabbings targeting lone women in Bow. They are urgently appealing for info to find the suspect. Officers rushed to Parnell Road, E3, at 8.29pm on Sunday, 26 August after reports of a woman stabbed.
Woman, 57, Left Seriously Injured
At the scene, a 57-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to an east London hospital by ambulance. Her condition remains unknown.
Second Attack Sparks Panic
Just two days earlier, on Friday 24 August, another woman in her 60s was stabbed in Chariot Close, E3. Though she needed hospital treatment, her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police Describe Suspect
The attacker in both assaults is described as a black male in his 40s, large build, with big hair. He flees on foot after the assaults.
Police in Tower Hamlets have urged locals to stay alert, especially women, as they investigate these alarming attacks. A 51-year-old man arrested on Sunday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) has been released under investigation.
