Woman in 50s Dies After Collision in Loughton
A woman in her 50s was fatally injured in a collision on Grosvenor Drive just before 12.15am today (Friday). She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Fatal Incident
Essex Police have arrested a 61-year-old man from Loughton on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody while detectives continue their inquiries.
Road Shutdown and Ongoing Investigation
Officers have cordoned off part of Grosvenor Drive as they investigate the tragic incident. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Egerton from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate reassured locals:
“We do not believe there is a wider risk to the public. We think all involved parties know each other and are not looking for anyone else.”
He added a police presence will remain throughout the day, urging anyone with information to come forward.
