Three Dead After Car Crashes Into London Home and Catches Fire
Detectives are hunting witnesses after a terrifying crash tore into a residential block on Great Western Road, Westminster at dawn.
Blazing Crash Leaves Three Dead
Police were scrambled at 4.50am following reports of a vehicle smashing into a block of flats in Westminster W9. London Fire Brigade arrived to find the car blazing fiercely. Despite heroic efforts, three people were declared dead at the scene.
Emergency Services Battle Blaze, Evacuate Residents
The fire was eventually doused, and paramedics attended the scene. A number of residents were evacuated as a safety measure. No other injuries have been reported, and police say no other vehicles are thought to be involved.
Witness Appeal as Investigation Continues
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is keen to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle before the smash, or who has dash cam footage. Investigators are working to identify the victims and inform their families.
