Construction Worker Trapped After Concrete Stair Collapse in Hammersmith

Emergency teams rushed to a Hammersmith construction site on Friday morning after a worker became trapped under a collapsed concrete staircase. The incident happened around 10am on Hammersmith Road, sparking a major rescue operation.

Specialist Rescue Teams Join the Fray

The London Fire Brigade deployed specialist Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams to the scene. Alongside them were two fire engines, a fire rescue unit, and a command unit to coordinate efforts. Fire crews are working closely with London Ambulance Service paramedics and their High-Activity Response Team (HART) to free the man.

Investigation Underway Into How Worker Got Entrapped

Officials have launched an investigation to establish how the concrete staircase collapsed and trapped the worker. Both the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comments.
