The Metropolitan Police’s Southwark unit teamed up with the Vehicle Enforcement Team to bust illegal and unsafe vehicles across the borough. The hard-hitting swoop also saw two arrests tied to various offences.

The targeted operation hit drivers breaking road laws—especially those driving without insurance, proper licences, or in unroadworthy vehicles.
“Operations like these are vital to keeping our roads safe and holding to account those who ignore the law. Uninsured and unsafe vehicles pose real risks to the public. We’ll continue to carry out proactive checks and seize vehicles where appropriate,” said a spokesperson for the MPS Southwark team.
