Double Tragedy on A14: Two Dead in Horrific Crash
Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly collision on the A14 last night tore apart two lives. The crash, involving a white Volkswagen Caddy and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), left a man in his 40s dead at the scene and his younger driver companion fatally struck moments later.
Fatal Crash Details
The horror unfolded at around 9:15pm on Wednesday, February 19, on the westbound carriageway of the A14 between junction 1 and the M1. Witnesses say the white Volkswagen Caddy collided with an HGV. The passenger, a man in his 40s, died instantly.
The driver, a man in his 20s, got out of the vehicle after the crash but tragically was hit by another vehicle when he stepped onto the eastbound carriageway. Both men lost their lives in the space of minutes.
