Police have launched an investigation after a pregnant ewe was found brutally killed on farmland off Betsham Road, Southfleet, at 7am on Sunday 29 March. The ewe’s grisly injuries suggest it was deliberately targeted.

Lamb Theft Adds to Suspicion

Just two days earlier, on Friday 27 March, a lamb vanished from the same field, raising alarms about a possible animal crime spree.

Arrest Made in Greenhithe

At around midnight on 6 April, officers from the Rural Taskforce arrested a woman in her 30s from Bean Lane, Greenhithe. She faces suspicion over motoring offences and the sheep killing.

The woman, a local resident of Bean, was later released but remains under investigation as police gather more evidence.
