Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and an air ambulance, were dispatched to Croydon Road near Long Lane shortly after 7 p.m. today (May 15) in response to reports of an incident involving a child.
Upon arrival, responders discovered a child suffering from injuries whose exact nature remains undisclosed at this time. The severity of the child’s condition is also unknown.
The child was promptly treated at the scene by medical professionals before being transported to a major trauma centre for further urgent medical attention.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service provided insight into their response, stating, “We were called at 7:06 p.m. today to reports of an incident near Long Lane in Croydon. We dispatched multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a member of our Motorcycle Response Unit, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. Additionally, London’s Air Ambulance was deployed.
