£1.7 Million Cannabis Factory Busted in Walsall

Police have smashed one of the biggest cannabis farms ever found in Walsall. Over 1,700 plants worth a staggering £1.7 million were seized during a dawn raid at an abandoned factory on Midland Road.

Massive Crackdown Just Before Dawn

Shortly before 4:30am on Sunday, officers from St Matthews Neighbourhood Team, backed by the Priority Crime Team and Operational Support Unit, swooped on the site. They uncovered and confiscated 1,737 cannabis plants under a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant.

“Huge Amount Off Our Streets,” Says Police

Mark Collins, neighbourhood policing supervisor, hailed the bust as one of the biggest in Walsall. He said, “This was one of the biggest hauls of cannabis discovered in the Walsall area. A huge amount of cannabis has now been taken off our streets.”

Suspect Nabbed and Charged

Danh Nguyen, 33, who has no fixed address, was arrested at the scene. He now faces charges of producing a Class B drug and appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Monday for his first hearing.
