Noel Radford, famous for Channel 5’s hit show 22 Kids and Counting, has been slapped with a hefty fine after a court showdown in Lancaster. The dad of Britain’s biggest family got nailed for refusing to say who was behind the wheel during a speeding bust.
Speeding Fury on the A683
Prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood revealed Radford’s Porsche was clocked at 52 mph in a 40 mph zone on the A683 Bay Gateway in Torrisholme, Morecambe, back in November 2023. But despite getting letters about the offence, Radford stayed mum, refusing to hand over the driver’s ID.
Court Drama: £1,460 Fine and Points on Licence
Showing up in a casual grey jumper and trainers, Radford represented himself and pleaded guilty to failing to provide driver details. He kept quiet on the speeding charge, which was eventually dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service. The judge hit him with a £900 fine, six penalty points, plus a £360 surcharge and £200 court costs, totalling £1,460. Radford will pay it off in three instalments by January 2025.
Warning Issued Over Missed Payments
Radford missed his original trial date in September, causing a postponement. Now, the court has warned him that missing the payment deadline could bring further legal trouble.
