Youth Worker Jailed for Sharing Hundreds of Sick Child Sex Images
A volunteer youth worker has been locked up for distributing hundreds of indecent images of children on social media. Perry Cornish, 23, used computers from his home in Crawley and a youth centre in West Sussex to share vile content.
Police Crack Down After Online Tip-Offs
Authorities were alerted after reports from X (formerly Twitter) in late 2021 and early 2022. Following his arrest, officers seized his electronic devices. A disturbing haul of images featuring children aged between four and 17 was discovered.

Worse Offences Uncovered in Undercover Sting
In a cruel twist, Cornish also targeted what he thought were underage girls online. These were actually undercover cops. He was charged with multiple counts of attempting sexual communication and encouraging sexual activity with children.
- Trying to chat with girls under 16 for sexual gratification
- Encouraging girls under 13 to view sexual images
- Attempting sexual activity with a child under 13
- Making more Category A, B, and hundreds of Category C images
Court Hands Down 32 Months and Sexual Harm Prevention Order
Cornish pleaded guilty to all charges. On 30 September at Lewes Crown Court, he was sentenced to 32 months behind bars and slapped with a seven-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
“This case shows we don’t mess about with these offences,” said Detective Sergeant David Rose. “The images are deeply distressing. We urge victims or those who know someone at risk to come forward. Your voice will be heard.”
