Shop Burglar Busted in Canterbury

Kent Police’s Victim Based Crime Team cracked down on a string of shop burglaries in Canterbury city centre between January and May 2022.

Stephen Field Nabbed for 10 Offences

Stephen Field, 32, with no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

  • Seven counts of burglary at various shops between 5 January and 18 May.
  • Two counts of receiving stolen goods – a phone and an electric bike.
  • The theft of a bicycle between 18 and 19 March.

Legal Drama Unfolds

Field appeared before Folkestone Magistrates on 28 May and was remanded in custody. He is set to face Canterbury Crown Court on 27 June.

Police continue to urge anyone with information about these crimes to come forward.
