Paedophile Adrian Donaldson Jailed for 20 Years After Five Years of Brutal Abuse
A Tottenham man has been locked up for two decades after confessing to repeatedly raping a young girl over half a decade.
Monster’s Reign of Terror in Tottenham
Adrian Donaldson, 37, pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown Court today to seven counts of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, and forcing a child into sexual activity without consent.
Between January 2015 and January 2020, Donaldson repeatedly raped a girl he knew starting when she was just 12. The abuse happened two to three times a week at his Tottenham home, often after he had been drinking and using drugs.
Disturbing Details of Abuse
Donaldson coerced the victim into sending nude photos and pressured her to visit him. When she came over, he forced her to strip before raping her.
The victim fell pregnant twice in 2017 and 2018 and was forced to have abortions both times. She lied to her mother, claiming her schoolboy boyfriend was the father to hide Donaldson’s identity.
Victim’s Silent Suffering and Police Intervention
Donaldson threatened the girl, warning her not to tell anyone or he’d accuse her of making advances. This left her feeling suicidal and trapped in silence.
Her mother discovered the abuse and pregnancies and called police on January 25. Officers found Donaldson drunk and trying to abuse the victim again at his home.
Despite arrest and denial in custody, Donaldson was charged with multiple counts following specialist victim support and investigation.
Detective Praises Victim’s Courage
“This is a horrific crime and the victim endured a horrendous ordeal. The effects will stay with her forever,” said Detective Sergeant Gill Cousins.
“I commend the bravery the victim has shown to help us bring this man to justice. I urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to come forward and speak to police.”
