Birmingham Drug Runner Jailed for Kent County Lines Crack and Heroin Supply
Martin Kamesa, 24, from Birmingham, has been locked up for almost four years after being caught supplying crack cocaine and heroin through a county lines operation targeting Kent.
Kent Police Smash ‘CJ’ County Line Ring
Kamesa was sentenced to three years and nine months at Canterbury Crown Court on November 8, 2022. The crackdown followed an investigation by Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team, who tracked the ‘CJ’ county line after it began messaging drug users in Thanet in March 2022.
West Midlands to Kent: The Drug Route Exposed
Detectives discovered drugs were being moved from the West Midlands and distributed locally in Kent with help from associates. Kamesa acted as the runner, shuttling crack cocaine and heroin from Birmingham.
Accomplice Caught and Handed Suspended Sentence
Donna Green, 42, homeless and aiding Kamesa in Margate, was arrested shortly after. She admitted involvement in the drug supply and received a suspended sentence at the same hearing.
Detective Constable Karl Shonhard said: “Drug dealing networks move in from outside the county and try to co-opt local people into working for them. I am pleased we quickly traced the man behind this line and shut down the network before it grew any larger. The jail term now secured will protect vulnerable people in the area.”
