Liverpool Drug Kingpin Banned for Nearly Four Years
James Walker, 26, from Sturdee Road, Liverpool, has been slammed with a 3-year-and-8-month prison sentence at Liverpool Crown Court on 9 November.
Mastermind Behind ‘Kyle’ County Line Busted
Detectives from Operation Toxic, Merseyside’s dedicated County Lines crack team, uncovered Walker as the brains behind the ‘Kyle’ line. This drug network pushed heroin and crack cocaine from Liverpool into Northwich.
On 25 July, cops raided Walker’s home, seizing mobile phones and drug gear. One phone contained chilling messages blatantly advertising Class A drugs for sale.
Guilty Plea and Strong Words from Police
Walker pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine between October 2022 and July 2023.
“Walker controlled the Kyle line, trafficking drugs from Liverpool to Northwich,”
“This is part of a wider crackdown on serious organised crime and county lines across Merseyside,”
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said.
“Since 2019, we’ve shut down over 1,000 county lines and arrested thousands behind drug supply, firearms offences, and money laundering.”
“Public tips are crucial. If you know something, speak up to help us tackle these criminals.”
Operation Toxic & Project Medusa: Fighting Drug Gangs Nationwide
Operation Toxic is a key arm of Project Medusa, Merseyside’s nationwide battle against county lines drug dealing and child exploitation.
Since 2019, officers have:
- Closed 1,101 county lines
- Arrested 2,421 criminals
- Identified and safeguarded 1,256 vulnerable children and adults
