Deadly haul found in Coventry biker crash raid
Kyle Kinchen, 22, was slammed with nine-and-a-half years behind bars at Warwick Crown Court after police swooped on his home in Glebe Close last September.
Gun, cash and cannabis uncovered in search for stolen bikes
The raid was sparked by intelligence linking Kinchen’s pad to a stolen motorcycle ring. Cops found a loaded revolver tucked inside a coat pocket hanging on Kinchen’s bedroom door. Alongside the gun were four bullets, cash bags, a stab-proof vest, over £10,000 in cash, and cannabis.
Kinchen stays silent but charges stack up
During questioning, Kinchen refused to say a word. He was slapped with charges of firearms possession, possession of criminal property, and possession of cannabis.
Police vow crackdown on illegal firearms
PC Charlotte Schofield from the Eastern Complex Crime Team said: “This is a hugely positive result for Coventry. We take illegal firearms very seriously and will take action wherever possible to take them and the people in possession of them off our streets.”
“It was clear when officers carried out the warrant that the house was being used for criminal activity and the team was able to put together a comprehensive case to use against Kinchen in court.”
