Predator Nathan Wing Jailed for Grooming 12-Year-Old Girl Online
Online Monster Targets Young Girls
Nathan Wing, 28, posed under a fake name to groom a 12-year-old girl online. He sent thousands of sexual messages and pressured her into sending explicit images. Wing even arranged to meet the child multiple times in person.
Police Crack Down After Digital Trail Leads to Arrest
Officers tracked Wing’s phone and arrested him in January last year. A forensic exam revealed similar abuse involving two other teenage girls. Investigators also found disturbing searches about young girls on his devices.
Eight Years Behind Bars for Dangerous Offender
Wing, formerly of Newark, stayed silent during questioning but later admitted to 11 sexual offences, including inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on 11 November to eight years in prison, plus four years on licence. As a dangerous offender, Wing will face strict sexual harm prevention orders upon release.
Police Warn Others Against Similar Crimes
Detective Constable Stacey Hardstaff said: “Wing is a manipulative sex offender who poses a significant danger to young girls. He knew exactly what he was doing and had absolutely no care for the very significant harm he was causing.
“His depravity has had a profound impact on his victims and their families and I am pleased he has now been held accountable by the courts.
“This is a very significant jail sentence that should serve as a warning to anyone else thinking of behaving in a similar way.”
