Young Drug Dealer Jailed for Selling Crack and Heroin in London
Madju Bari, 20, has been locked up for 32 months at Chelmsford Crown Court for his role in a notorious drug line pushing crack cocaine and heroin.
Bishop Drug Line Busted
Bari, from Arabella Street in Bermondsey, London, was a key player in the Bishop drug operation that flooded the streets with dangerous drugs last year. He was arrested on June 17 and questioned by Operation Raptor officers in Harlow, but refused to answer any questions.
He later pleaded guilty to being involved in supplying crack cocaine and heroin on January 7 this year.
Sentence and Additional Punishment
- Bari was sentenced to 32 months for the drug offences, to run concurrently.
- An extra two months were added for breaching a suspended sentence, also running concurrently.
Police Warn: Drug Dealing Means Trouble
Detective Sergeant James Paget said: “If you are involved in drug dealing, it won’t be long before we knock at your door, or stop you in the street, to arrest you.
“Every day we’re identifying and targeting criminals who sell poison in our communities.
“It’s not a quick or glamorous way to make money, as some might be under the illusion of thinking. Those involved put themselves and others in danger because drug dealing goes hand in hand with violence, grooming, and exploitation.
“The people you think are your friends only care about themselves, and you will inevitably be arrested and face the prospect of going to prison, which will affect your future, and your family.”
