Devizes Man Caught Hoarding Sick Child Abuse Images

Shaun Harris, 39, of West View Crescent, Devizes, has admitted shocking charges at Salisbury Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to three counts each of making and distributing indecent images of children, plus one count of possessing extreme pornography.

Wiltshire Police Crack Down

Police from Wiltshire’s Child Internet Exploitation team swooped in after spotting indecent images uploaded through Harris’ computer. He was arrested in September 2019, with officers seizing his computer and mobile devices for detailed analysis.

Thousands of Disturbing Images Found

Investigators uncovered thousands of illegal images downloaded to Harris’ devices, including Category A images – the absolute worst kind. Worse still, Harris was actively sharing these vile pictures with others online, making him a key player in a horrific abuse network.

Police Issue Strong Warning

Detective Constable Charlotte Mason said: “Behind every one of these images is a vulnerable child and these crimes are among the most distressing that we investigate. Harris is a habitual collector of indecent images that include the most serious kind, category A, for his own gratification. I’m pleased with this sentence as safeguarding children online is a priority for the police and this sends out a message that we will do our utmost to bring offenders like Harris to justice.”
