Ex-Con Caught Running Drug Line Days After Release

George Campbell, 23, plunged straight back into the drug game less than a week after leaving prison in May. Police on Operation Raptor West quickly traced his illegal drug dealings and arrested him on 31 July.

Drugs and Cash Found at Girlfriend’s Home

While questioning Campbell, officers raided his girlfriend Sky Hughes’ home in Woodcroft, Harlow. They uncovered heroin and crack cocaine wraps, weighing scales, and over £700 in cash. Hughes, 19, was also arrested on the spot.

Guilty Pleas and Harsh Sentences

  • Campbell of Bohun Grove, Barnet, admitted possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine during hearings in September and October.
  • Hughes admitted allowing her home to be used to supply drugs and possession of criminal property.

Justice Served: Jail and Community Order

On 8 December, Campbell was slammed with a hefty jail term of five years and seven months. Hughes received an 18-month community order, including 120 hours of unpaid work, 30 days of rehab, and must forfeit £705.
