Gun Hoarder Caught with Arsenal Near Toddler’s Bedroom

Darren Dixon, 32, from Kentish Town, London, was busted in October 2019 after a joint sting by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). Cops found a shocking 26 firearms at his home — including five loaded handguns, a sawn-off shotgun, and a pump-action shotgun stashed right where his three-year-old daughter slept.

Explosives and Zombie Knives Also Found

The haul didn’t stop at guns. Investigators seized explosives, gunpowder, live ammo, zombie knives, smoke grenades, and garrotes. Fake police IDs were also uncovered. The NCA’s National Firearms Targeting Centre teamed up with the Spanish Guardia Civil to track Dixon down after spotting his online firearms purchases.

Buying and Selling Guns Across Europe

In the month before his arrest, Dixon bought six guns from a Spanish website and another three from Slovenia, all shipped straight to his doorstep. Analysts later discovered he sold six of those weapons through a different site, spreading the firepower further.

Police Gear and Fake Warrants Found at Dixon’s Home

When cops raided Dixon’s house, they seized over 240 items. The man admitted, “It has become a bit of an addiction with these guns.” Among the stash were fake MPS and Interpol ID cards, a counterfeit search warrant for a North West London property, police body armour, and even a rejected application to join the force.

Investigators also found tools used to bring decommissioned weapons back to life. In March 2020, Dixon pleaded guilty to 15 charges relating to importing, converting, and selling banned firearms. Crime down, but barely dented.
