Forklift Crashes Into London Maisonette Block
A massive industrial telehandler forklift smashed into a three-story block of maisonettes in West London, causing chaos and sending one man to hospital.
Man Hospitalised, Five Escape Unharmed
The London Ambulance Service raced to the scene and rushed one injured man from the damaged property to hospital. Luckily, five other residents escaped without a scratch after quickly evacuating the building.
Firefighters Reveal Narrow Escape for Block
Sub Officer Cam Bee told reporters: “We arrived to find the huge forklift overturned and resting on a first floor window.”
“Fortunately, it landed on a non-load bearing part of the building, limiting damage to that area rather than the entire structure.”
The fire crew immediately secured the site, setting up a 25-metre safety cordon as a precaution.
Swift Fire Brigade Response
Called in at 2.54pm on Tuesday, three fire engines from Southall, Northolt, and Park Royal rolled out. The incident was resolved by 3.58pm, showcasing the varied and unexpected challenges London’s firefighters tackle daily.
