Pervert Busted with 3,000 Child Abuse Images in Kent Police Sting
Graham Pitcairn was arrested on Tuesday 3 March 2020 after Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team uncovered damning evidence. Officers received intelligence that a computer at Pitcairn’s former home had accessed a sick website hosting child abuse material.
Shocking Haul of Indecent Images and Videos
During a raid, police seized a laptop and a USB stick. Their findings were horrific: over 3,000 indecent images and more than 60 indecent videos stored on the devices. Among these, more than 400 images and over 30 videos were graded Category A—the most severe rating, showing the worst abuse.
Folkestone Man Admits Charges and Gets Prison Sentence
The 46-year-old from Folkestone Road, Dover, faced court at Canterbury Crown Court where he admitted three counts of making indecent images of children on 2 February 2021. Pitcairn was jailed for one year and three months on 31 March.
Lifetime Restrictions After Release
Upon release, Pitcairn faces a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This bans him from using the internet, having unsupervised contact with children, and from obstructing police monitoring his compliance.
Detective Sergeant David Shipley of Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team said:
“The children depicted in indecent images are real children, and the crimes against them are extremely serious. Anyone involved in trading these images is complicit in that abuse. My team is dedicated to tracking down offenders and bringing them to justice. This Sexual Harm Prevention Order will stop this offender from reoffending for a long time.”
