MOD and Veterans Office Launch Big Review of Veteran Welfare
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA) have teamed up to launch a major review of welfare services for veterans. The move targets everything from Veterans UK support to transition help for soldiers leaving the forces.

Independent Review to Deliver Tough but Fair Recommendations
An independent civil servant, backed by a secretariat from the MOD and Cabinet Office, will lead the crunching of numbers and analysis over the next three months. They’ll consult charities, veterans groups, government departments, and independent advisors to ensure all angles are covered.
The review will complement the ongoing Quinquennial Review of the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and aims to deliver strong recommendations to transform welfare support. MOD and OVA promise an action plan to follow through on changes, delivering leaner, more effective services veterans can count on.
