Predator David Cambray Jailed for Child Sex Abuse
Cambray Convicted of 12 Child Sex Offences
David Cambray, 51, has been found guilty of 12 child sexual abuse offences dating back several years. The crimes came to light earlier this year when the victim bravely came forward, prompting a police probe.
Sentenced at Northampton Crown Court
On Friday, November 20, Cambray was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court. The judge slammed him for showing no remorse and abusing a position of trust. He was handed a life-long Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the Sex Offender Register for life.
Investigation Praised for Courage
Detective Constable Kelly Roberts, who led the investigation, said: “This has been a complex and difficult case, where the victim and their family showed immense courage and bravery in speaking out and supporting the investigation.”
“Cambray acted solely for his own sexual gratification, with no regard for the damage he caused.”
“This case is a stark warning to anyone with a sexual interest in children – we treat these allegations with the utmost seriousness and will stop at nothing to protect children and secure justice.”
Help Is Available for Those at Risk
Cambray’s sentencing sends a clear message: sexual abuse of children will not be tolerated. Anyone struggling with inappropriate feelings towards children is urged to seek confidential help now.
