Grim Tragedy in Rowley Regis: Woman Killed by Dogs in Garden Attack
Lucille Downer, 85, died after being mauled by dogs in her own garden on Boundary Avenue, Rowley Regis, last Friday, 2 April 2021.
Despite desperate efforts from family and neighbours, Lucille was confirmed dead at the scene.
Owner Admits Guilt in Court
Darren Pritchard, 44, faced wolverhampton/" title="Wolverhampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Wolverhampton Crown Court for charges linked to the deadly dog attack.
- Pled guilty to owning dogs dangerously out of control causing death
- Also charged with possession, production, and intent to supply cannabis
Pritchard was released on conditional bail but has been warned to expect jail when he returns to court on 15 May.
Dogs Destroyed After Incident
Two dogs involved were voluntarily handed over to police immediately after the tragedy.
Experts confirmed the dogs could never be rehomed due to the violent attack and they were humanely put down.
