Man Wanted Over Church Break-In Attempt in Surrey

Police are on the hunt for a man who may hold the key to cracking a suspected attempted burglary at St Augustine’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Gomshall.

Church Doors Damaged in Bold Early Morning Attempt

The incident happened around 10:30am on Friday, November 11. Several doors at the church on Station Approach were damaged, with one door handle broken and marks showing tools were used with force.

Police Link Incident to Other Church Attacks Nearby

Officers believe this attempt could be connected to similar attacks on churches in nearby Bookham, Effingham, and Ashtead, where damage was reported between November 5 and 7.
