Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Ealing Attack
A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder following a deadly incident in Ealing.
Leon Joseph Held Over Fatal Head Injury
Leon Joseph, from Elfwine Road, W7, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 23 July. He faces the murder charge over the death of 60-year-old Glenroy Joseph, along with additional charges of actual bodily harm and two counts of assault by beating.
Incident Unfolded on Elfwine Road
Police were called just after 6pm on Monday, 20 July to reports of a disturbance outside a home on Elfwine Road. Officers found Glenroy Joseph suffering a serious head injury. Despite efforts by the London Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Remanded Ahead of Crown Court Hearing
Leon Joseph was arrested the following day on suspicion of murder, as well as linked to another assault earlier that day involving two male victims in Ealing. He was taken to a west London police station before being charged and is now remanded in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, 27 July at the Central Criminal Court.
Police have confirmed next of kin have been informed.
