Man Held Over Amber’s Tragic Death Denies Charges

Stephen Corrigan, 43, from Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, has been accused of trying to pervert the course of justice in connection with the death of Amber, 16. He made no plea when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

Amber Found Dead in Park

Amber vanished after failing to return home on Friday, November 26 last year. Her body was found two days later in Cadzow Glen park, Hamilton. Initially, her death was unexplained, but a post-mortem sparked a murder investigation.

Brother Also Charged

Amber’s 19-year-old brother, Connor Gibson, appeared in court last month charged with her murder. He faces additional accusations of sexual assault and attempting to pervert justice. Like Corrigan, he made no plea and remains in custody awaiting further hearings.

Corrigan has been remanded in custody, with his next court date yet to be announced.
