Man Caught Acting Shady on Essella Road
Police on patrol spotted a suspicious man on Essella Road, Ashford, early Wednesday morning, July 13, 2022. Their sharp eyes came after a recent spike in vehicle thefts in the area.
Stephen Cole Faces Multiple Charges
Stephen Cole, 35, from Brattle, Ashford, was slammed with charges the very next day. On Thursday, July 14, he was hit with three counts of vehicle interference across Adams Drive, Essella Road, and Green Fields Lane, all between July 11 and 13. He also faces charges for stealing bank cards and a laptop from a car on Hunter Avenue on July 13.
Additional Burglary and Vehicle Theft Charges
Cole’s troubles don’t end there. The Chief Constable’s Crime Squad also charged him with burglary on Birling Road and taking a vehicle without consent in Town Farm Place, both on July 11.
Cole’s Court Date Set
The 35-year-old remains in police custody ahead of his court appearance at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 14.
